Member organisations

The iSocial Foundation brings together 23 member groups and organizations in Catalonia and the Basque Country, collectively representing 79 social entities working in different areas of social intervention. All of them have a long-standing trajectory and prestige in the field of social action, and are characterized by their ongoing commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.

ABD is a group of social organizations that advocate for people facing situations of social vulnerability. For more than 30 years, they have supported individuals at different moments of their life paths, either individually or in groups, while also engaging in community action. They serve 90,000 people every year. The group includes the ABD Association, the ABD Foundation, and the Genus Institute.

Ampans

AMPANS is a group founded in the Bages region that has been working since 1965 to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities, creating opportunities that promote their autonomy and inclusion in society. Every year, they accompany and support more than 2,200 people through special education, training, employment, daytime services, therapeutic occupation, residential care, leisure, sports, and legal guardianship. The group includes the Ampans Foundation, Ampans Environment, Ampans Works and Services, Ampans Social Enterprise, and the Icaria Social Initiatives Foundation.

Grup Atra

ATRA is a group of non-profit organizations working in the fields of social services and health. They provide care and treatment for people with addictive behaviours, people with mental illness, and individuals at risk of social exclusion. More than 29,000 people have received care and treatment over the group’s 30-year history, thanks to the work of a large team of professionals specialized in health and social education. The group includes the ATRA Association, the ATART Association, ATRA Clínic, UTE Salut Mental Gràcia, and the Àmbit Prevenció Foundation.

FIBS - Fundació Família i Benestar Social

The Family and Social Welfare Foundation is a private, non-profit organization that has been working for people of all ages since 1987, in order to make possible its life project through the access to affordable housing and the provision of services for the elderly. Since 1993, it has built more than 3,000 social housing units in more than 50 municipalities throughout Catalonia.

The Joia Foundation is a non-profit organization founded over 30 years ago that provides mental health employment services through 11 centres located in five districts of Barcelona. Each year, it supports nearly 2,000 people by offering personalized pathways to success, assessing their abilities and needs, and creating opportunities for social inclusion and employment both within and outside the protected labour market. The CET Apunts also forms part of the foundation.

Support-Girona is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal and social support to people of all ages with any type of disability (including psychosocial, intellectual, or age-related disabilities), while also ensuring appropriate and effective safeguards to prevent abuse by others. It is the leading organization in its field in Catalonia, supporting more than 1,400 individuals.

FCSD Fundació Catalana Síndrome de Down

The Catalan Down Syndrome Foundation (FCSD) is an organization born in 1984 on the initiative of Montserrat Trueta and other parents and professionals, with the aim of delving into Down Syndrome (DS) through research and practical experience in the fields of pedagogy, psychology, medicine, and the social area. The pioneering character of the Foundation constitutes it in point of national and international reference.

The Plataforma Educativa Group is a Catalan network of social organizations working to promote inclusion, education, and the well-being of people in vulnerable situations, especially children, young people, and families, through socio-educational services, employment programmes, and community support. The group includes the Resilis Foundation, the Gentis Foundation, the Astres Foundation, the Infància i Família Foundation, the Acció Social Infància Foundation, the Sallar Foundation, the Utopia Foundation, the EI7 Foundation, the Idària Cooperative, the Acciona’t Association, and Eina Activa Social Enterprise.

Pere Claver Grup is a Catalan organization providing mental health, social, and inclusion services for vulnerable people. It works with children, young people, and adults, promoting autonomy, well-being, and community integration through comprehensive care. The group includes the Pere Claver Social Services Foundation, the Pere Claver Healthcare Foundation, the Rights and Support Foundation, the Tallers Foundation, and the Pere Claver Institute for research, teaching, and innovation.

Fundació Idea

Fundació IDEA is an entity from Sabadell founded in 1985 that acts in the field of education in leisure, unruled youth training and the protection of minors. In 2020, a total of 6,327 children, teenagers and youth benefited from their socio-educative services and programs in Catalonia, through 218 professionals.

The El Maresme Foundation works to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities in the Maresme region and their families. For more than 50 years, it has accompanied and supported over 2,800 people annually through an extensive network of services and centres. The group also includes the CEO Maresme Foundation and the Maresme Guardianship Foundation.

The Federation of Associations of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients of Catalonia brings together 16 local and regional organizations that support families of people with dementia. Alzheimer’s disease currently affects nearly 10% of the population over the age of 65 and is the chronic illness that generates the highest levels of dependency.

Grupo Cooperativo Bogan is a group of social initiative cooperatives from the Basque Country and Navarre that promotes the social and labour inclusion of people in vulnerable situations, particularly in the field of mental health. They work to foster employment, autonomy, and community integration. The group includes the cooperatives Adaka, Agintzari, Hirube, Zabalduz, and Garaian.

The Alba Group is made up of six organisations: the Alba Association, the Lleure Qualia Cooperative, the Alba Jussà Cooperative, the Alba Futur Foundation, the Alba Sports Club and the Alba Inserció company. Its origins go back to 1975 in the city of Tàrrega, where today it still has its main headquarters. The group’s social services benefit 3,891 people, mainly in the counties of Urgell, La Segarra and Pallars Jussà. It has 585 professionals, of which 79 are disabled, 495 members and 341 volunteers.

Social entity with more than 35 years of experience, which serves more than 35,000 people and has nearly 2,000 professionals and 195 services in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Madrid. It is made up of the Intress Association, the Intress Foundation and the Gira-sol Association. It acts in the fields of childhood and family, gender equality, mental health, the elderly, disability, young people, socio-labor inclusion, justice and work in the community, and guardianships. It also carries out psycho-social and community rehabilitation through radio programs.

Social housing manager promoted from the third sector that works with Social Entities and Public Administrations to guarantee the right to decent housing for people in vulnerable situations. Born in 2014 at the initiative of the Table of Entities of the Third Social Sector of Catalonia and 8 other federations and entities in the sector. It is the reference institution for the management of social housing in Catalonia, with a stock of nearly 1,000 homes.

Grupo Servicios Sociales Integrados is a cooperative with over 35 years of experience, comprising social initiative and public benefit companies dedicated to addressing the social needs of people in situations of social vulnerability and dependency in the Basque Country, with a special focus on the aging ecosystem. Its two main areas of work are providing care for people in situations of dependency within the home and supporting those facing social vulnerability.

Educational Resources for Children at Risk (REIR, in its Catalan acronym) is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 by a group of professionals in the field of social education and the third sector. Operating in nearly 20 municipalities, it serves an average of 5,000 people each year. With a multidisciplinary approach, its projects and actions aim to improve the situation of groups at risk of social exclusion and vulnerability, primarily focusing on children.

The ASPACE Catalunya Foundation, founded in 1961 by a group of parents of children with cerebral palsy, is a pioneering entity in the care of people with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities. It offers comprehensive and specialized care throughout life, with an interdisciplinary model that includes neurorehabilitation, education, and family support. With over 60 years of experience, ASPACE Catalunya is a leading reference in the field of neurodevelopment and multiple disabilities in Catalonia.

Nonprofit organization dedicated to defending the rights, protecting, and ensuring the quality of life of people with disabilities, particularly those with intellectual disabilities who require support to exercise their legal capacity in Catalonia. The organization ensures that those it supports have the resources they need to develop their life projects while always respecting their will, desires, and preferences.

The MIFAS Group is a non-profit organization created in 1979 in Girona and managed by people with disabilities. Its mission is to achieve economic independence and social justice for people with disabilities and those at risk of social exclusion. It provides support, services, and guidance aimed at promoting autonomy, personal self-determination, full inclusion, and the exercise of individual and collective rights. The group includes the MIFAS Association, the MIFAS Foundation, and the MIFAS Special Employment Centre.

The Llars Compartides Foundation, founded in 2003, works to dignify the ageing process of older people with low incomes and improve their quality of life through the co-housing option—that is, living together in a shared home. To this end, they build and maintain shared homes tailored to the needs of elderly individuals interested in this permanent housing alternative, fostering social transformation through personal and community commitment.

Emaús Fundación Social is a Basque organization working to promote the social inclusion of people in vulnerable situations. It develops projects in solidarity-based economy, employment integration, and sustainability, particularly in waste reuse and social support. It has more than 350 professionals and supports nearly 4,000 people each year.
