SoliVet, a service offering support to vulnerable people and their pets

SoliVet

Helping people and their pets stay together while accessing social support

Ajudant les persones i les seves mascotes a romandre juntes mentre accedeixen a recursos socials

SoliVet is an initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable people who live on the streets alongside their pets.

Often, having an animal makes it difficult to access shelters or social housing, forcing many people to choose between a roof over their heads or staying on the streets with their pet. SoliVet works to ensure that these individuals can access various social resources without having to be separated from their animals.

The organization takes a holistic approach, addressing multiple areas of intervention. On one hand, it provides specialized training for social service staff so they can better assist and support people with animals. On the other hand, it ensures veterinary care for animals housed in the centers, maintaining their health and proper sanitary conditions.

Additionally, since January 2024, SoliVet has launched Paw’sitive Job, the first charitable canine residence linked to a socio-labor integration workshop. This pioneering project combines animal care with training and employment opportunities for people in vulnerable situations.
